ஒவ்வொரு பகுதிக்கும் தமிழ்ச் சுருக்கமும் முழு ஆங்கில உரையும் உள்ளன. இரண்டும் முரண்பட்டால், சட்ட ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்ட முழுத் தமிழ் உரை வெளியாகும் வரை ஆங்கில உரையே செல்லும். Each section has a Tamil summary and the full English text. If they differ, the English text governs until a legally reviewed full Tamil text is published.
இது டிஜிட்டல் தனிப்பட்ட தரவுப் பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம், 2023 (DPDP) மற்றும் அதன் விதிகள் 2025-இன்படியான அறிவிப்பு. கணக்கு இல்லாமல் படிப்பவர்கள், பயிற்சி செய்பவர்கள் — மாணவர்கள் உட்பட — எவரிடமிருந்தும் தனிப்பட்ட தரவு எதையும் நாங்கள் சேகரிப்பதில்லை. வினாடி வினா மதிப்பெண்களும் அண்மையில் பார்த்தவையும் உங்கள் உலாவியிலேயே இருக்கும்.
This notice is given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. It tells you what personal data Anu holds, why, for how long, who else handles it, and how to use your rights. If you only read, search, practise or download, we collect no personal data about you beyond the momentary technical data described in section 2(e). Quiz scores and your recently viewed elements are kept in your own browser and are never sent to us.

2. நாங்கள் வைத்திருக்கும் தரவு · What we hold
கணக்கு உள்ளவர்களுக்கு: மின்னஞ்சல், காட்சிப் பெயர், (விருப்பம்) நிறுவனம்/ஊர், அறிமுகம்; ஒப்புதல் பதிவுகள்; முன்மொழிவுகள்; குறிப்பேடு. Google வழி உள்நுழைந்தால் Google உங்கள் மின்னஞ்சலையும் பெயரையும் மட்டுமே தருகிறது. அனைவருக்கும்: யார் என்று அறிய இயலாத நாள்வாரி எண்ணிக்கைகள் மட்டும்.

We do not collect your phone number (except, optionally, from appointed reviewers), address, date of birth, government identity numbers, payment details, location or contacts. We do not use advertising, analytics services, social-media buttons or tracking pixels.
Cookies and browser storage. A session cookie when you sign in; a security (CSRF) cookie on forms; and two preference cookies, lang (Tamil or English) and layer (which naming tradition the table shows), which hold nothing about you. Quiz best scores and recently viewed elements are kept in your browser's local storage only.
Shared sign-in. A sign-in cookie shared by the Oliyon Research tools on oliyonresearch.com (oliyon_id) holds your email and name so the other tools can recognise you; it is deleted when you sign out. It is signed so that it cannot be altered, lasts at most 30 days, and gives no role or permission: each tool still asks for, and records, its own consent before it creates an account for you.

Installed app and offline copies. If you install Anu as an app, your browser keeps copies of the pages you have opened (and the table) on your own device so they open without a connection. Pages shown while you are signed in are never kept, nor are sign-in, account, proposal, notebook or admin pages. Remove the app or clear the site's data in your browser to delete the copies.
Voice. Voice typing in search ("பேசுங்கள் · Speak") and reading names aloud ("கேளுங்கள் · Listen") use your browser's own speech service (in Chrome, Google's); nothing is recorded by Anu and no audio reaches us. The microphone is used only while you hold the Speak button on, and your browser asks your permission first.
Third parties your browser contacts. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. The sign-in page loads Google's sign-in button from Google; Google then sees that you visited it. Links to Wikipedia, PubChem, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Tamil Lexicon and Oliyon Nigandu take you to those sites under their own policies.
3. யார் பார்க்கலாம் · Who can see it
வெளியான பெயருடன் அதை ஆக்கியவர் பெயர் பொதுவில் தெரியும். உங்கள் மின்னஞ்சல் நிர்வாகிகளுக்கு மட்டும்; ஆய்வாளர்களின் மின்னஞ்சலைத் தலைமை ஆய்வாளரும் காண்பார். குறிப்பேடு உங்களுக்கு மட்டும். தரவை விற்பதில்லை; விளம்பரத்திற்குப் பயன்படுத்துவதில்லை.
- Public: when a name you proposed is published, it shows the coiner you named (or your display name, if you coined it); if you are a reviewer who agrees to it, your name appears on the Reviewers page. Your notebook is private to you.
- Site administrators can see account details, including email addresses, to run the review process and handle complaints. The reviewer master (தலைமை ஆய்வாளர்), whom an administrator appoints from Anu's own members, sees the reviewers' names, email addresses and register details — not their phone numbers or administrators' notes — to appoint reviewers and hand them proposals. Reviewers see proposers' display names, not their email addresses.
- Data Processors who handle data on our instructions: Amazon Web Services (servers, database backups and email delivery through Amazon SES), in the AWS Mumbai region (ap-south-1), India.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data for advertising or marketing. We disclose it to a government agency or court only when the law requires it.
4. எவ்வளவு காலம் · How long we keep it
கணக்கு இருக்கும் வரை கணக்குத் தரவு. கணக்கை நீக்கினால் மின்னஞ்சல், பெயர், நிறுவனம், அறிமுகம் உடனே அழிக்கப்படும்; காப்புப் படிகள் 30 நாளில் தானாக அழியும். ஒப்புதல், புகார்ப் பதிவுகள் சட்டச் சான்றாக வைக்கப்படும்.
- Account data, your notebook and reviewer details: while your account exists.
- When you close your account (from your profile), your email address, display name, affiliation and "about you" text are removed from your account at once, your notebook is deleted, any reviewer phone number and qualifications are erased, and names you proposed that were published stay, credited to the coiner you named or to "former contributor". Because the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 require it, a copy of your registration details (email address, display name, affiliation and the dates you joined and left) is then kept in a restricted record for 180 days, used only if the law requires it for an investigation, and deleted automatically after that. Nightly database backups are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Sign-in codes expire after a few minutes and are of no use afterwards.
- Error logs: rotated automatically by size. The administrator action log: kept for at least one year, as the Rules require.
- Consent records and the complaint register: kept for as long as needed to show what was agreed or decided, and for at most seven years after the account is closed or the complaint resolved. After closure they are linked only to the anonymised account.
5. உங்கள் உரிமைகள் · Your rights
உங்கள் தரவைப் பார்க்க, பதிவிறக்க, திருத்த, நீக்க, ஒப்புதலைத் திரும்பப் பெற, உங்கள் சார்பில் ஒருவரை நியமிக்க, புகார் அளிக்க உரிமை உண்டு. பெரும்பாலானவற்றை உங்கள் சுயவிவரப் பக்கத்திலிருந்தே செய்யலாம்.

6. குழந்தைகள் · Children
மாணவர்கள் கணக்கின்றியே அட்டவணை, அட்டைகள், வினாடி வினா எல்லாவற்றையும் பயன்படுத்தலாம்; அவர்களிடமிருந்து தனிப்பட்ட தரவு எதுவும் பெறப்படுவதில்லை. கணக்குகள் 18 வயது நிறைந்தோருக்கு மட்டும்.
Anu is meant for school students too, and everything a student needs — the table, flashcards, quizzes, comparison and downloads — works without an account and without any personal data. Quiz scores stay in the student's own browser. Accounts are only for people aged 18 or over; every account holder confirms this when signing up. We do not knowingly process personal data of children. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we close it and erase its data.
7. பாதுகாப்பு · Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). The database is reachable only from the application server, not from the internet; administrative access is limited to named administrators, and role changes and review decisions are logged; backups are stored encrypted in a private storage bucket. There are no passwords to leak: sign-in uses one-time codes or Google. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board as the Act and Rules require, describing what happened, the likely consequences and what we are doing about it.
8. மாற்றங்கள் · Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects how your data is used, its version number changes and account holders are asked to read and accept it again before continuing. Your earlier acceptances stay on record.
