1. நாங்கள் யார் · Who we are

அணு, ஒளியோன் ஆய்வகம் (சென்னை) வெளியிடும் இலவசத் தமிழ்த் தனிம அட்டவணை. தனிமங்கள், சேர்மங்கள், அட்டவணைக் கலைச்சொற்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் தமிழ்ப் பெயர்களை அவற்றின் மூலத்துடன் தருகிறது. இந்த விதிமுறைகள் தளத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தும் அனைவருக்கும் பொருந்தும்.

அணு · Anu ("Anu", "the site", at https://anu.oliyonresearch.com) is a free Tamil periodic table published by Oliyon Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us"). It records the Tamil names of the chemical elements, of common compounds and of the terms of the periodic table, with the source of each name. These Terms of Use apply to everyone who reads, searches, practises on, downloads from or contributes to the site, and to anyone who uses its API.

2. ஏற்பு, வயது · Acceptance and age

அட்டவணை, கற்றல், வினாடி வினா, ஒப்பீடு, தரவு இறக்கம் எல்லாம் கணக்கின்றி யாரும் பயன்படுத்தலாம் — மாணவர்கள் உட்பட. பெயர்களை முன்மொழியவும் குறிப்பேட்டைச் சேமிக்கவும் கணக்கு தேவை; கணக்குத் தொடங்க 18 வயது நிறைவடைந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

1. Reading, searching, the flashcards and quizzes, comparison and downloads need no account, and are open to readers of every age, including school students. By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. An account is needed only to propose names and keep a notebook. To open one you must be 18 years of age or older and must accept, as separate statements, these Terms of Use, the Privacy Notice and the Contributor Agreement. We record each acceptance with the document version, the date and time, your IP address and your browser's identification string.
3. We do not knowingly open accounts for persons under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will close it and erase its personal data.

3. இலவசச் சேவை · A free service

அணு இலவசம்; கட்டணம், விளம்பரம் எதுவும் இல்லை. சேவையை எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் மாற்றவோ நிறுத்தவோ எங்களுக்கு உரிமை உண்டு; நிறுத்தினாலும் வெளியான தரவு அதன் உரிமத்தில் இறக்கக் கிடைக்கும்.

Anu is provided free of charge and without advertising. It is run on a best-effort basis: we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. If we ever close the site we will keep the published names available for download under their licence.

4. உள்ளடக்க உரிமம் · Licence of the content

வெளியான பெயர்களும் விளக்கங்களும் CC BY-SA 4.0 உரிமத்தில் உள்ளன: மூலத்தைக் குறிப்பிட்டு, அதே உரிமத்தில் யாரும் பகிரலாம், மாற்றலாம், வணிக நோக்கிலும் பயன்படுத்தலாம். பிற மூலங்களிலிருந்து எடுத்த பெயர்கள் அந்த மூலத்தைக் குறிப்பிட்டே காட்டப்படுகின்றன. ஒளியோன் பெயர், தீச்சுடர்ச் சின்னம் இந்த உரிமத்தில் அடங்காது.

1. The site's own text and the published collection of names are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0: anyone may copy, adapt and reuse them, including commercially, provided they credit Anu and its contributors, link to the licence, indicate changes and share adaptations under the same licence.
2. A single word is a fact of the language and belongs to no one. Where a name was taken from a textbook, encyclopedia, dictionary or scholar's work, we show that source next to it, and list our sources on the Credits page. We record names and short references only; we do not reproduce the texts they come from.
3. The names "Oliyon", "ஒளியோன்", "Oliyon Anu", "ஒளியோன் அணு", the flame mark and the logo are not licensed under CC BY-SA. You may use the name to credit the source, but not in a way that suggests we endorse you or your work.

5. துல்லியம், பாதுகாப்பு · Accuracy, and chemical safety

அணு ஒரு குறிப்புதவி மட்டுமே. ஒவ்வொரு பெயருக்கும் அதன் சான்று நிலை காட்டப்படுகிறது; 'சரிபார்க்க வேண்டும்' எனக் குறித்தவற்றை மேற்கோளாகக் கொள்ள வேண்டாம். தேர்வுகளுக்கு உங்கள் பாடநூலையே பின்பற்றுங்கள். வேதிப்பொருள்களைக் கையாளும் முன் அவற்றின் பாதுகாப்புத் தரவுத் தாளை (SDS) பாருங்கள்; இத்தளத்தின் 'கவனம்' குறிப்புகள் அதற்கு மாற்றல்ல.

1. Anu is a reference work. Each name shows its source and an evidence level — attested, reported or needs checking. Review by our reviewers is an editorial check, not a guarantee. Do not cite names marked "needs checking"; scholars should check the source shown.
2. For examinations, follow the textbook prescribed for your course. Where Tamil Nadu and Sri Lankan textbooks differ, both are shown; neither is "wrong".
3. The descriptions, uses and "caution" notes about elements and compounds are general information for learning. They are not safety instructions, medical advice or a substitute for a supplier's Safety Data Sheet. Do not handle, mix, heat, eat or give anyone a chemical on the strength of this site. Traditional and Siddha names are recorded as language and history, not as medical recommendations.
4. The compound builder only matches what you assemble against our library. When it finds no match it says so and does not guess properties; a match does not mean the substance can be made safely by combining those elements.

6. கணக்குகள் · Accounts

மின்னஞ்சலுக்கு வரும் ஒருமுறைக் குறியீட்டாலோ Google கணக்காலோ உள்நுழைகிறீர்கள்; கடவுச்சொல் இல்லை. ஒருவருக்கு ஒரு கணக்கு; பிறர் போல் நடிக்க வேண்டாம். உங்கள் மின்னஞ்சல் / Google கணக்கின் பாதுகாப்பு உங்கள் பொறுப்பு.

1. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with your Google account; there is no password. You are responsible for keeping that mailbox or Google account secure, and for what is done through your Anu account.
2. One person, one account. Your display name may be your real name or a name you are known by, but it must not impersonate another person or organisation, or suggest an official role you do not hold.
3. You can correct your details on your profile, download your data, or close your account at any time (see the Privacy Notice).

7. முன்மொழிவுகள் · Proposals

நீங்கள் முன்மொழியும் பெயர்கள் பங்களிப்பு ஒப்பந்தத்தின்படி அமையும். ஆய்வாளர் ஒப்புதல் இல்லாமல் எதுவும் வெளியாகாது; மரபுப் பெயர்களுக்கு இரண்டு ஆய்வாளர் ஒப்புதல் தேவை. எந்த முன்மொழிவையும் திருத்த, மறுக்க, பின்னர் மறைக்க எங்களுக்கு உரிமை உண்டு.

1. Everything you submit — a name, its source, who coined it and why — is governed by the Contributor Agreement, including its licence grant under CC BY-SA 4.0.
2. Nothing you submit is published until a reviewer approves it; classical attributions need two approvals. We and our reviewers may correct, re-label, set the evidence level of, decline, hide or remove any contribution, and are not obliged to publish anything.
3. You are responsible for what you submit, including the honesty of the source you give. Review does not transfer that responsibility to us or to the reviewer.

8. தடை செய்யப்பட்டவை · What you must not do

பதிப்புரிமை பெற்ற நூல்களின் பகுதிகளை நகலெடுக்கக் கூடாது; இல்லாத மூலத்தைக் குறிப்பிடக் கூடாது; பிறர் ஆக்கிய சொல்லை உங்களுடையது எனக் கூறக் கூடாது; அவதூறு, வெறுப்புப் பேச்சு, ஆள்மாறாட்டம், தெரிந்தே பொய்த் தகவல், தீங்கிழைக்கும் நிரல், ஸ்பேம், அளவுக்கு மீறிய தானியங்கிப் பதிவிறக்கம் ஆகியவை தடை.

You must not use the site to submit, publish or share anything that:

1. copies a textbook, dictionary, book, article or database protected by copyright, beyond a name and a short, attributed reference;
2. cites a source that does not exist or does not say what you claim, or presents another person's coinage as your own;
3. is defamatory, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or insulting or harassing on the basis of gender;
4. promotes enmity or hatred between groups on grounds of religion, race, caste, community, language or place of birth, or incites violence;
5. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order;
6. is harmful to a child;
7. you know to be false or misleading;
8. impersonates another person;
9. contains software viruses or any code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of a computer resource; or
10. violates any law for the time being in force in India.

You must also not send automated requests faster than the published API limits, try to get around the review process or another person's account, or use the site to send unsolicited messages.

9. API, மொத்தப் பதிவிறக்கம் · API and bulk reuse

API-யும் CSV தரவும் இலவசம்; விசை தேவையில்லை; ஒரு IP முகவரிக்கு நிமிடத்திற்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட வரம்பு உண்டு. தரவைப் பயன்படுத்தும்போது மூலத்தைக் குறிப்பிடுங்கள்.

1. The public API and the CSV dataset are free and need no key. Requests are limited per IP address per minute.
2. Data obtained this way remains under its licence and must be credited. We may block addresses that exceed the limits or degrade the service for others.

10. புகார்களும் நீக்கமும் · Complaints and takedown

எந்தப் பக்கம் பற்றியும் புகார் படிவத்தில் புகார் தரலாம். 24 மணி நேரத்தில் ஒப்புகை, 15 நாட்களுக்குள் முடிவு. ஆய்வின்போது ஒரு பெயரை மறைத்து வைக்கலாம்.

1. Anyone may complain about any page through the complaint form or by writing to the Grievance Officer: குறைதீர் அலுவலர் · Grievance Officer, Oliyon Anu, connect@oliyon.in.
2. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and decide it within 15 days, with reasons. Where the law sets a shorter time for a particular kind of complaint, we follow that time.
3. We may hide a name while a complaint is examined, and will act on orders of a court or of an authorised government agency as the law requires. Accounts that repeatedly submit infringing or prohibited material will be closed.

11. கணக்கு நிறுத்தம் · Suspension and closure

விதிகளை மீறும் கணக்குகளை நிறுத்தலாம். நீங்கள் எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் உங்கள் கணக்கை மூடலாம்.

We may warn, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice where the breach is serious, and will tell the account holder why unless the law prevents it. You may close your account at any time from your profile. Licences you granted for published names continue after closure, as the Contributor Agreement explains.

12. பொறுப்புத் துறப்பு · Disclaimer and limitation of liability

தளம் "உள்ளபடியே" வழங்கப்படுகிறது. சட்டம் அனுமதிக்கும் அளவுக்கு, தளத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தியதால் ஏற்படும் இழப்புகளுக்கு நாங்கள் பொறுப்பல்ல.

1. The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Oliyon Research nor its reviewers or contributors are liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential — arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

13. ஈடுசெய்தல் · Responsibility for your own breach

உங்கள் முன்மொழிவு பிறர் உரிமையை மீறியதால் எங்களுக்கு எதிராக வழக்கு வந்தால், அதற்கான நியாயமான செலவை நீங்கள் ஏற்க வேண்டும்.

If a claim is made against us because something you submitted breached these terms or someone else's rights, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, to the extent the breach was caused by you.

14. மாற்றங்கள் · Changes to these terms

விதிமுறைகள் மாறினால் பதிப்பு எண் மாறும்; கணக்கு உள்ளவர்கள் அடுத்த முறை புதிய பதிப்பை ஏற்க வேண்டும்.

When these terms change, the version number above changes. Account holders are asked to accept the new version before they continue to use their account; readers are bound by the version in force when they use the site. Earlier versions are kept on record and are available on request.

15. சட்டமும் நீதிமன்றமும் · Governing law

இந்த விதிமுறைகள் இந்தியச் சட்டத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவை; சென்னை நீதிமன்றங்களுக்கே அதிகார வரம்பு.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the complaint procedure above, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, have exclusive jurisdiction.
